Admission Requirements
Students may not apply to the BMOS HONORS DOUBLE MAJOR when they apply for admission to the University. Students may apply for admission upon successful completion of all first-year requirements with an average of 70% and no grade less than 60% in any of the following 2.5 courses:
1.0 course: Business Administration 1220.
0.5 course: MOS 1020A/B**.
1.0 course from : Calculus 1000A/B, 1100A/B, 1301A/B, 1501A/B, Mathematics 1600A/B or the former Linear Algebra 1600A/B, Mathematics 1225A/B, 1228A/B, 1229A/B, the former Mathematics 030, 031.
** Note: If MOS 1020A/B has not been completed, a substitute half-course in Year 1 will be calculated in the admission average, but MOS 1020A/B must be completed with a minimum grade of 60% prior to graduation.
In addition to meeting the above admission requirements, students must successfully complete the admission requirements for a Major module in a discipline other than Management and Organizational Studies. If admission requirements are not met for either or both of the Majors, students will not be allowed to register in the BMOS (HONORS) DOUBLE MAJOR program and will be required to apply to a BMOS Honors Specialization, a BMOS Specialization, OR to another program.
After Second Year: Students applying for the BMOS HONORS DOUBLE MAJOR after second year must:
a) have an overall average of at least 70% on the last 5.0 courses including the above principal courses with an average of 70% and no grade less than 60%; and
b) have a minimum cumulative average of 65% Students must also successfully complete the admission requirements for a Major module in a discipline other than Management and Organizational Studies.
Transferring to Huron BMOS Programs: Students enrolled at another affiliated university college or main campus must meet the admission requirements in order to transfer into a BMOS (Honors) Double Major at Huron. Enrollment in some Major modules may be limited. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.
Progression Requirements
To progress in the BMOS (HONORS) DOUBLE MAJOR, students must
a) maintain minimum modular averages of 70%
b) obtain minimum grades of 60% in all courses listed for both modules
c) obtain a passing grade in each elective course (students who fail a course are not permitted to progress in Honors programs);
d) maintain minimum cumulative average of 65%
Breadth Requirements
In addition to the module requirements for the different streams, all BMOS Honors Double Major students require the following before graduation:
2.0 designated essay courses (E, F, or G), 1.0 at the senior level.
1.0 course from each of Categories A, B, and C.
Graduation Requirements
To graduate, students must achieve a minimum cumulative average of 70% with a minimum mark of 60% in each course in the Major modules, obtain a passing grade in each option, and maintain a minimum overall average of 65% in the 20.0 courses counted towards the BMOS HONORS DOUBLE MAJOR degree. Students with advanced standing must achieve an overall average of 65% on courses completed at Western.
