Registration in BMSc degrees Students who are interested in the Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMSc) degrees usually register in Biological and Medical Sciences in Year 1. Following successful completion of the appropriate first-year courses, any first-year student may request entry into a BMSc degree containing a modules(s) offered by the Basic Medical Science departments. As of May 1, 2006, registration in BMSc degrees is limited and competitive. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee registration in BMSc degrees. Science/BMSc Internship Program The Science/BMSc Internship Program includes a series of preparatory sessions, an 8-16 month practical career-related experience in an employment setting, and a post-internship component. All students enrolled in the 3rd year of a 4-year undergraduate Science or Basic Medical Science Honors Specialization, Specialization, or in a Major + Major combination [where at least one of the Majors is in Science or Basic Medical Science] are eligible to enrol in the Science/BMSc Internship Program, if they satisfy the eligibility requirements.
