The Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies Four-Year Degree must include one of the following four Specializations: Finance and Administration; Finance, Administration and Computer Science; Organizational and Human Resources; Commercial Aviation Management.
Admission Requirements
Students may apply to enter a Specialization in BMOS when they apply for admission to the university. Because enrollment is limited, possession of the University’s minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission. Students applying with the Ontario Four-Year Grade 12 curriculum must complete an Ontario Secondary School Diploma including: completion of six Grade 12U courses, including English (ENG4U) and two of either Advanced Functions (MHF4U), Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U) and Math of Data Management (MDM4U).
To enter a Specialization in BMOS after first, second, or third year, students must have achieved an overall average of 70% on the last 5.0 courses and a cumulative average of 65%. Students enrolled in a Specialization in BMOS at an Affiliated University College must meet the admission requirements in order to transfer into a Specialization in BMOS on main campus.
Progression Requirements
To remain in a Specialization in BMOS, students must maintain a minimum cumulative average of 65%. In order to be readmitted to a Specialization in BMOS, students must complete an additional 5.0 courses in another discipline and must meet the Admission requirements.
Graduation Requirements
For the 20.0 courses to be counted for graduation, students must achieve a minimum cumulative average of 65%. Students with advanced standing must achieve an overall average of 65% on courses completed at Western.
All students require 2.0 designated essay courses (at least 1.0 of which must be a senior course numbered 2000-4999) and 1.0 course from each of the Categories A, B and C.
