BACHELOR OF MUSIC WITH HONORS IN PERFORMANCE (ORCHESTRAL INSTRUMENT)

For admission to this program, applicants must demonstrate a performance level of at least a Conservatory Grade X standard in the orchestral instrument, as well as evidence of exceptional performing ability.
Second Year

Ensemble: One, or more, of Music 2901, 2902, 2903, 2904, 2905, 2906, 2910, 2911, 2912, 2913
Two full-courses or equivalent, at least one of which must be from a Faculty other than Music
Third Year

Ensemble: One, or more, of Music 3901, 3902, 3903, 3904, 3905, 3906, 3910, 3911, 3912, 3913
One half music history or theory course in 20th-century music, normally selected from Music 2629, 2695A/B, 2700A/B, 2701A/B, 2702A/B, 3630A/B, 3640, 3649A/B, 3650A/B, 3695, 3705A/B, 3706A/B, 3730A/B, 3731A/B, 3732A/B, 3733A/B, 3734A/B, 3735A/B, 3736A/B, 3752A/B, 3754A/B, 3760A/B, 4733A/B, or other 20th-century courses which may be offered in a given year, with departmental permission.
One and one-half courses or equivalent from the Faculty of Music.
One full- course or equivalent from any Faculty.

Music electives must include one full course or equivalent from Music 2973A, 2974B, 3976A/B/Y and 4976A/B/Y, and must also include Music 2975Y and 3975Y, or suitable alternatives approved by the chair of the Department of Music Performance Studies. Electives in third or fourth year must include one full Music course from a department other than the Department of Music Performance Studies
