HONORS SPECIALIZATION IN HISTORY

Admission Requirements
Completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% in 3.0 principal courses, including 1.0 course from History 1201E, 1401E, 1403E, 1601E, 1701E, 1801E, 1803E or 1805E and 2.0 additional courses, with no mark in these principal courses below 60%.

Module
9.0 courses:

2.0 courses: History 2301E and 2403E*.
1.0 course from: History 2201E, 2203E, 2205E*.
2.0 courses in History at the 2200 level or above (excluding History 2301E, 2403E, 2201E, 2203E and 2205E), including Classical Studies 3400E**.
2.0 courses in History at the 3000 level or above.
2.0 courses in History at the 4000 level.

* 2.0 of these 3.0 courses must be taken before year 3. The third must be taken before year 4. To be eligible to progress in the Honors History program, 70% is required in 2.0 of the mandatory courses (History 2301E and 2403E and either History 2201E or 2203E or 2205E) and the 3.0 mandatory courses must be completed with an average of at least 70% with no mark less than 60%.

**Students are required to take one course other than History 2403E in European or British History (History 2400, 3400, 4400 series, History 2705E, 2801E, 3805E, 3811E, 4709E or 4805E), AND one course in non-European/non-North-American History (History 2500, 2600, 3500, 3600, 4500, 4600 series, History 2701E or 2809E). These courses may be included among the appropriate 2000, 3000 or 4000 level required courses.
