Admission Requirements
Completion of first year requirements, including 1.0 course from Spanish 1030 or 1030W/X (or the former Spanish 002 or 002w/x) with a mark of at least 60%. Those with Grade 12 U Spanish will receive special permission to go straight into Spanish 2200 or 2200W/X. Comparative Literature and Culture 1020 is recommended.

6.0 courses:
1.0 course: Spanish 2200, 2200W/X, 2223.
0.5 course (normally taken in second year): Spanish 2204F/G*.
1.5 courses (normally taken in third year): Spanish 2202F/G, 2203F/G, 2205F/G*.
1.0 course: Spanish 3300, 3301E.
0.5 course: Spanish 3320F/G, 4402F/G or 4404F/G (Medieval Spanish Literature).
0.5 course: Spanish 3321F/G, 3323F/G, 3324F/G, 3326F/G, 4402F/G or 4404F/G (Spanish Golden Age Literature).
0.5 course: Spanish 3331F/G*, Spanish 3333F/G, 3334F/G, 3336F/G, 3337E, 3338F/G, 4402F/G or 4404F/G (Modern Spanish Literature).
0.5 course: Spanish 3330F/G*, Spanish 3343F/G, 3344F/G, 3346F/G, 3347E, 3348F/G, 4403F/G or 4405F/G (Spanish-American Literature).
* Does not require Spanish 2200 as prerequisite.
Notes: With the permission of the Department, additional Spanish courses at the 4000 level (Special Topics) may be used to fulfill requirements for Literature courses listed above (Medieval Spanish, Spanish Golden Age, Modern Spanish, Spanish-American). With permission of the Department, Spanish 2101 with a final mark of at least 80% can be counted toward the Major in Spanish.
