HONORS SPECIALIZATION IN ENVIRONMENTAL GEOSCIENCE


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% in 3.0 principal courses, including the Earth Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, plus up to 0.5 additional courses shown below, with no mark in these principal courses below 60%.

At least 0.5 course from: Earth Sciences 022a/b, 023a/b, 081a/b, or the former Earth Sciences 020, 082a/b, 085a/b; or Earth Sciences 083F/G, 086F/G, 088F/G, 089F/G with a mark of at least 70%. (Earth Sciences 022a/b or 081a/b is recommended.)
1.0 course from: Biology 022 or 023
1.0 course from: Chemistry 020 or 023
0.5 additional course (to give a total of 3.0, if only a 0.5 course in Earth Science is taken)

1.0 course from: Mathematics 028a/b, 030, Calculus 050a/b, 051a/b or 081a/b, Linear Algebra 040a/b, is also required.
