Entry into the 4-year honors degree program occurs at the beginning of the third year and requires that the student has completed the second year of the Chemistry program with an average mark of at least 70% in the three senior chemistry courses (251, 253 and 254) with no mark less than 60% in these. In addition, the student must have completed Applied Mathematics 290a, or the former Applied Mathematics 281a with a mark of at least 60%. Students who do not meet these criteria may be allowed to proceed into the third year of the Honors Chemistry program only with the special permission of the Department.
