Course Description

Anthropology 412F/G Discourse and Power

Using techniques of discourse analysis, the course examines linkages between discursive practices and relations of power. The analytic models and techniques taught in the course connect micro- and macro-levels of systems and structures with individual agency and explore aspects of hegemony and marginalization.

Antirequisite: Political Science 412G

Prerequisite: Anthropology 411F/G or Political Science 411F
