BIOLOGY PROGRAMS
Biological & Geological Sciences Building Room 232, Tel: (519) 850-2542, on campus Ext. 82542 The Biology Department administers the core biology courses, Biology 022 or 023, 281b, 282b, 283a, and 290F/G of the 3-year Biology program, and the honors programs in Biology, Cell Biology, Ecology and Evolution, Genetics, Plant Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Plant Sciences and Zoology. The core half course, Biochemistry 280a (formerly Biology 280a) is administered by the Biochemistry Department. Additional courses available to students in the 3-year Biology program (and the various honors programs) are offered by the Department of Biology, and the Medical Science departments of Anatomy and Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Medical Biophysics, Microbiology and Immunology, and Physiology and Pharmacology. Students who wish to complete a 4-year degree in the life sciences may choose from a four-year general BSc in Biology, and 12 different honors programs, each representing a particular area of biological specialization.
