(A course taken to fulfil this requirement may also be used to fulfil the subject area requirement.)

- At least one of the 300-level or 400-level half-courses must be included among the courses taken.
- In a Philosophy and Religious Studies Combined Honors Program, no Religious Studies course may be used to fulfil part of the Philosophy component of that program.
