(519) 661-3898 The Centre for New Students is a home base for new students to the university. The Centre offers several programs to support new students transition to university and that will increase their academic success and personal enjoyment. Upper year students have many opportunities to develop leadership skills through their involvement with the centre as mentors, guides or program assistants. These programs and services include: - Summer Academic Orientation
- Western's Initiative for Scholarly Excellence (WISE)
- Study Groups for Large First Year Classes
