HONORS SPECIALIZATION IN ANTHROPOLOGY

Admission Requirements
Completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% in 3.0 principal courses, including either Anthropology 1025F/G and one of Anthropology 1026F/G or 1027A/B or the former Anthropology 020E plus 2.0 additional courses, with no mark in these principal courses below 60%.

Module
9.0 courses:

1.0 course from: Anthropology 2211F/G, 2212F/G, 2214F/G, 2216F/G, 2217F/G, 2218F/G, 2219F/G, 2230F/G, 2231F/G, 2232F/G, 2233F/G, 2234F/G, of which at least 0.5 must be from Anthropology 2211F/G through Anthropology 2219F/G.
3.0 courses: Anthropology 2222F/G, 2245F/G, 3301E, 4400E.
1.0 course from: Anthropology 2226A/B and 2229F/G OR Anthropology 2247A/B and 2248A/B.
4.0 additional courses in Anthropology at the 2200 level or above. Students may substitute a maximum of 1.0 course, not previously taken, from: Anthropology 2211F/G, 2212F/G, 2214F/G, 2216F/G, 2217F/G, 2218F/G, 2219F/G, 2230F/G, 2231F/G, 2232F/G, 2233F/G, 2234F/G, First Nations Studies 2910F/G.

Note: Some courses are offered only in alternate years. Students are advised to consult the Department when planning their module. (See list of the courses by subfield at the end of this section).

*Students interested in Linguistic Anthropology should take Anthropology 2247A/B and 2248A/B. All other students should take Anthropology 2226A/B and 2229F/G.
