This module provides a balance between core Chemistry and Biochemistry. It includes a course which is an independent research project, in which the student works in a research laboratory in one of the Departments of Chemistry or Biochemistry, typically during the final year of study. This module can be completed only within a BSc (Hons) degree.
Admission Requirements
Completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% in the following 3.0 principal courses, with no mark in these principal courses below 60%.

2.5 courses: Biology 2581B, Biochemistry 2280A, 3380G,3381A, 3382B.
1.5 courses: Biochemistry 4400F, 4410A, 4420B, 4430B, 4435B, 4440A, 4445F/G, 4463G, 4465A or Microbiology and Immunology 4700B.
1.0 course from: Chemistry 4490E, Biochemistry 4491E.
