MEDICAL BIOPHYSICS
Medical Sciences Building M407, Tel: 519-661-3053, www.uwo.ca/biophysics

In addition to the modules listed below, the Department of Medical Biophysics participates in the Medical Sciences modules, and in several of the modules offered by the Department of Biology. (See MEDICAL SCIENCES and BIOLOGY listings.) Most undergraduate Medical Biophysics courses are also open to students in Physical or Mathematical Sciences. Medical Biophysics 3302E, 3303E, 3330F/G, 3336F/G, 3501F and 3503G are available to qualified students in Year 2.
The Honors Specialization indicated above (*) and the Specialization in Medical Biophysics may only be completed within the BMSc program.  The Major in Medical Biophysics, when combined with another Major offered by one of the Basic Medical Science departments, may only be completed within a BMSc degree (BMSc Honors or BMSc degree).  A Major or Minor module in Medical Biophysics can either be taken alone or combined with modules from other faculties to earn degrees such as BSc, BHSc or BA degrees.  For example, a student may obtain a BSc(Honors) degree with a Major in Medical Biophysics and a Major chosen from either the Faculty of Science or another faculty.  Alternatively, a student may elect to pursue a 4-year BSc degree with a Major in Medical Biophysics.
For more information, see BMSc PROGRAM.

Science/BMSc Internship Program
The Science/BMSc Internship Program includes a series of preparatory sessions, an 8-16 month practical career-related experience in an employment setting, and a post-internship component. All students enrolled in the 3rd year of a 4-year undergraduate Science or Basic Medical Science Honors Specialization, Specialization, or in a Major + Major combination [where at least one of the Majors is in Science or Basic Medical Science] are eligible to enrol in the Science/BMSc Internship Program, if they satisfy the eligibility requirements.
