In addition to the required Biology course as stated above, a high school background comprising a cross-section of Science courses such as Chemistry, Physics and Math will provide a stronger academic background in preparation for senior Kinesiology subjects in biomechanics and exercise physiology. It is strongly recommended that students who wish to pursue the Honors Specialization in Kinesiology - BSc and those students in Kinesiology wishing to select Additional Science Modules from the Faculty of Science, have a very strong science background from high school. Refer to the UWO science courses for specific high school prerequisites.
-
Some of the first year Science courses* that students may select in preparation for second year of the Honors Specialization in Kinesiology - BSc may require Grade 12U Advanced Functions (MHF4U), Grade 12U Calculus and Vectors, Chemistry Grade 12U (MCV4U), or Grade 12U Geometry and Discrete Mathematics (MGA4U). *[For the list of appropriate first year science courses refer to the Honors Specialization in Kinesiology - BSc section of this calendar].
