Admission Requirements
Students may apply to enter BMOS when they apply for admission to Brescia University College. Because enrolment is limited, possession of the University's minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission. Students applying with the Ontario Four-Year Grade 12 curriculum must complete an Ontario Secondary School Diploma including: completion of six Grade 12U and/or M courses, including English (ENG4U) and two of Advanced Functions (MHF4U), Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U) and Math of Data Management (MDM4U).
Note: Students admitted without Ontario Secondary School credits must complete Grade 12U Advanced Functions and Calculus and Vectors or Mathematics 0110A/B or equivalent, prior to registering in certain Economics, Mathematics, and Statistics courses. See course descriptions in the COURSE INFORMATION section.
Transfer students who have been admitted to Brescia University College with advanced standing, or students who are currently registered in another module at Brescia, may also request permission to register in BMOS. Brescia students wishing to enter BMOS after first, second, or third year must have achieved an overall average of 70% in their last 5.0 courses and a cumulative average of 65%. Transfer students must have completed successfully the equivalent of the BMOS first year Mathematics requirement, Economics 1020 or Economics 1021A/B and 1022A/B (Finance and Administration Specialization only), and 1.0 additional course in Social Science. Permission for such students to enter BMOS may be granted by the Academic Dean at Brescia. Part-time students must complete the Mathematics requirements noted in the ADMISSION section and 5.0 university courses before requesting admission to BMOS. Students interested in transferring into BMOS are advised to consult an academic counsellor at Brescia. Students who fail to meet the progression requirements governing BMOS will normally be expected to complete 5.0 additional courses in another module before applying for readmission into BMOS.
