MAJOR IN SPANISH LANGUAGE AND LINGUISTICS
Admission Requirements
Completion of first-year requirements, including 1.0 course from Spanish 030 or 030w/x (or the former Spanish 002 or 002w/x) with a mark of at least 60%. Those with Grade 12U Spanish will receive special permission to go straight into Spanish 200, 200w/x or 222E.
Module
1.0 course (prerequisite for the rest of the module): Spanish 200, 200w/x, 222E, 223 1.5 courses: Spanish 300, 303a 3.5 courses*: Spanish 214F/G, 314F/G, 315F/G, 316F/G, 390F/G, 406F/G, 407F/G, 408F/G, 411F/G, 412F/G *0.5 course from the modules's requirements (above) can be replaced with 0.5 course from the Linguistics Program.
Notes: With permission of the Department, certain additional Spanish courses at the 400 level (Special Topics) may be used to fulfill requirements for Language and Linguistics courses listed above. With permission of the Department, students who are fluent in Spanish may substitute Spanish 200 with Portuguese 200.
