MAJOR IN PHYSICS
Admission Requirements
Completion of first-year requirements, including the following courses each with a mark of at least 60%:
Module
1.0 course: Calculus 250a/b (preferred) or 280a/b, 251a/b (preferred) or 281a/b 0.5 course: Differential Equations 215a 2.5 courses: Physics 201a/b, 202a/b, 259E, 351a/b 1.0 course from: Astronomy 201a/b or the former Astronomy 221a/b, 202a/b or the former Astronomy 222a/b, Physics 203a/b, 208, 210a/b 1.0 course from: Applied Mathematics 261b, Physics 326F/G, 369F/G/Z
Students must also complete Physics 279y, 379y (non-credit seminar courses). Note: Not all of the above courses have prerequisites included in the module. A minimum mark of 85% is required in Calculus 081a/b to take Calculus 250a/b.
