HONORS SPECIALIZATION IN PLANETARY SCIENCE
Admission Requirements
Completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% in 3.0 principal courses: Physics 020 or 024 or 026; Calculus 050a/b and 051a/b (preferred) or 081a/b or Applied Mathematics 026; plus 1.0 additional course, with no mark in these principal courses below 60%.
Module
0.5 course: Astronomy 201a/b or the former Astronomy 221a/b 0.5 course: Physics 203a/b 1.0 course: Earth Sciences 200a/b; 123a/b (if Earth Sciences 023a/b has not been taken), or a 200-level Earth Sciences half-course with permission of the department (if Earth Sciences 023a/b has been taken). 1.5 courses: Planetary Science 380a/b, 490E 6.5 additional courses from: Astronomy 202a/b or the former Astronomy 222a/b, 301a/b, Physics 201a/b, 202a/b, 208, 259E, 326F/G, 343a/b, 350a/b, 351a/b, 365a/b, Earth Sciences 206a/b (or the former 205a), Earth Sciences 212a/b, 230a/b, 231a/b, 240a/b, 260a/b, 321a/b, 322a/b, 369a/b, 421a/b, 424a/b.
