SOCIOLOGY
Students who take two separate majors offered by the Department of Sociology (e.g., a Major in Sociology and a Major in Sociology fo Law, Crime & Deviance) may overlap the former Sociology 231 or Sociology 205a/b and 206a/b to fulfill this requirement for both majors. Sociology 240E or Sociology 270a/b and Sociology 271a/b, however, will be counted as fulfilling the requirements of one of these two majors; for the other major, students must take an additional sociology course at the 200-level.
Three-Year Bachelor degrees allow a maximum of 9.0 courses in one subject area. Some modular combinations when taken exclusively through the Department of Sociology, may exceed this maximum, e.g., Major in Sociology + Minor in Criminology. Please consult the Department for further information.
