THREE-YEAR BSc BIOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE
Admission Requirements
Note: Students who intend to apply to a program in a specified Year 4 Honors Biological or Medical Science should check the Year 1 Mathematics requirements for that particular program.
Second and Third Years
Geography 020E or the former Earth Sciences 020, or any two of Earth Sciences 081a/b, 083F/G, 281b, or the former Earth Sciences 082a/b, 085a/b. Environmental Science 350F/G At least a senior half-course from Groups C or E Chemistry 213a/b Chemistry 210a/b or the former 226a/b, or Chemistry 272F and 372F/G or the former 322 Environmental Science 300F/G One of: Biology 244a/b, or Statistical Sciences 135, 222a/b, 241a/b, or the former Statistical Sciences 255, or Psychology 281 Biochemistry 280a (formerly Biology 280a), Biology 281b, 282b, 283a, 285b, 290F/G, and one of Biology 321F (or the former Biology 203F)) or 335b, and one of Biology 204a, 327b (or the former Biology 213b) or 345F Two additional half-courses or equivalent, at least one of which must contain a laboratory, from: Biology 321F (or the former Biology 203F)), 204a, 327b (or the former Biology 213b), Biology 217b, Microbiology and Immunology 221a/b (formerly Biology 221a/b), Biology 284a, Physiology 312 or the former 310, Biology 320Z, Medical Biophysics 331G (formerly Biology 331G), Biology 335b, 345F, 346b, 351a/b, 360a/b (formerly Biology 305a), 366b Sufficient options to bring the total number of courses to ten The approved courses for Groups A, B, C, D, E and F are listed in the degree requirements for the BSc Environmental Science.
Area of Concentration
The Area of Concentration will consist of all senior courses from the Faculty of Science specified above. - Students intending to apply to enter Year 4 of the Toxicology with Environmental Science program must choose Biology 351a/b, and must also take Pharmacology and Toxicology 356a/b (or the former Biology 362) as an option.
- Students intending to apply to enter Year 4 of the Ecology and Evolution program must include 2.0 Biology courses at the 200- or 300-level with laboratory components, to fulfill the requirements for the BSc Biology.
