SENIOR CITIZENS
Canadian citizens or permanent residents who reside in Ontario and who will be 60 years of age or older during the first month of classes may be eligible for a bursary equivalent to their tuition fees. This bursary is awarded on the basis of declared financial need. Activity fees for those students who have been awarded a bursary will be waived. Students may register in an undergraduate or graduate program on a full-time or part-time credit or audit basis. All prospective students must submit proof of age and a formal application. Those seeking admission to faculties other than Arts and Humanities, Science or Social Science may be required to provide additional documentation. Credit for previous university work requires appropriate documentation. Admission to limited enrolment courses and programs is competitive and cannot be guaranteed. Applicants seeking admission to the Faculty of Graduate Studies must satisfy the normal admission requirements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and will be subject to all program regulations. Senior citizens admitted to an undergraduate or graduate program are subject to Senate regulations concerning the program. At the undergraduate level, exemption from certain progression requirements and course prerequisites may be granted by the Dean.
