MAJOR IN MEDITERRANEAN STUDIES


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements, including Comparative Literature and Culture 020 or 021E with a mark of at least 60%. A first year language course is recommended.


Module

7.0 courses:

1.0 language course at the 020 level or above in French, or at the 200 level or above in Ancient Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, Italian, Latin or Spanish, equivalent to the former 020-level
1.0 course: CLC 210E
2.0 courses from: CLC 211F/G, 212F/G, 218F/G, 240F/G, 250F/G, 411F/G
3.0 courses from the following list:
No more than 1.0 course may be at the 100 level, and no more than 1.5 courses in the same subject may be included: Classical Studies (any course numbered 100 or above), CLC/Italian 100, CLC/Spanish 101, CLC 333F/G, 334F/G, 335F/G, Greek 400, History 149, 214E, 240E, 324E, 414E, Italian Studies 136, International and Comparative Studies 243F/G, Political Science 243E, 443E, Spanish 218F/G, 320F/G, 321F/G, 323F/G, 324F/G, 326F/G, 331F/G, 333F/G, 334F/G, 336F/G, 337E, 338F/G, 402F/G, 404F/G, 408a/b, Visual Arts History 247E, 249E, 258E, 349F/G, 445F/G. Special Topics courses related to Mediterranean Studies may also be counted toward this requirement, with the permission of the Department.
