Completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% in 3.0 principal courses, including: Political Science 020E, Economics 020, and Philosophy 020E or 022E or 025E, with no mark in these principal courses below 60%.

French 021 or 020E or a course in French at the 100 level is also required.

13.0 courses:

3.0 courses: Political Science 230E, 231E or 245E, 237E
1 course: Philosophy 201F/G, 211F/G
2.0 courses: Economics 150a/b, 151a/b, 159a/b, 160a/b
1.0 course from: Political Science 300E, 309E, 310E, 444E
5.0 additional courses in Political Science at the 200 level or above*, at least one of which must be at the 300 level or above.
Political Science 211E is highly recommended.
1.0 course from: Philosophy 237E, 240E, 241F/G and 242F/G

* Political Science 300E, 309E, 310E, or 444E may be used to meet this requirement, if not taken above. History 457E (Warfare) may also be used toward meeting this requirement.
