Completion of first-year requirements, including 1.0 course from English 020E, 022E, or 024E with a mark of at least 60%. Students should consult with the Department prior to admission.

1.0 course: English 232E
1.0 course from: English 138E, 160E, 274E /374E
1.0 course from: English 133E, 171F/G, 172F/G, 209E. English 133E is recommended for teaching Primary to Intermediate grades and English 209E for Intermediate to Senior levels.
2.0 additional essay courses in English at the 100 or 200 level. Students may include Writing 101F/G in this category, and are recommended to do so.
