Completion of the requirements for a Three-Year BSc in Biology with the general prerequisites for entrance into honors programs in the Biological Sciences.
Five full-course equivalents at the 300-level or above, selected from the Biology and Medical Science Departments involved in the Biology Program, including at least 1.5 courses with a laboratory component. A minimum of 3.0 courses must be selected from the Department of Biology, and 1.0 of these courses must be chosen from the following: Biology 491E, Biology 450a/b (formerly Plant Sciences 450a or Zoology 450a/b) , Biology 403a (formerly Plant Sciences 403a), 408b (formerly Plant Sciences 408b), Biology 423F/G (formerly Zoology 423F/G), 434b (formerly Zoology 434b), 436G (formerly Zoology 436G), 440b (formerly Zoology 440b) or 443b (formerly Zoology 453b).
Note: 200-level courses may only be included in an Honors Biology Program if they complement the 300- and 400-level courses selected. The inclusion of 200-level courses is subject to the approval of the program coordinator(s).
All proposed Honors biology programs must be approved by the Honors Biology Coordinator(s) prior to registration.
