An introduction to important issues in the history of literary criticism and theory from Plato to the twentieth century. |
| Antirequisite: English 215a/b, 491E or the former English 200 or 201a/b. |
| Prerequisites: At least 60% in English 020E, 022E, 024E, and at least 60% in all subsequent English courses, or permission of the Department. |
| 3 hours, half course. |
