* These 3.0 courses from the Basic Medical Science Disciplines (see definition above), must be selected as follows: a minimum of 1.5 courses taken from one Discipline and a minimum of 1.0 from a second Discipline. The remaining 0.5 course may be taken from any of the Disciplines. If courses in the Major in Medical Sciences are included in another major in the Biological or Basic Medical Sciences, also being taken by a student, then the courses which overlap must be replaced by courses at the 200-level or above from the Basic Medical Sciences, following approval by the BMSc Counsellor and the Department of the other Major. Students are advised to consult with the BMSc counsellor prior to selecting 300- and 400-level courses to ensure that appropriate prerequisite courses have been selected.
