MINOR IN JAPAN STUDIES


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements, with a mark of at least 60% in either International and Comparative Studies 020E or another course numbered 020-099 with international, comparative, or cultural content.


Module

4.0 courses:

0.5 course: International and Comparative Studies 203F/G
2.0 courses in Japanese language at successive levels, e.g., Japanese 030-level to 200-level courses or Japanese 200-level to 300-level courses
1.0 course from International and Comparative Studies 150F/G, 151F/G, 253F/G
0.5 course in Arts or Social Science with Japan content at the 100 level or above. The course taken to meet this requirement must have international and comparative content and receive prior approval from the Department. The following courses are pre-approved: Economics 114F/G, 314a/b, Political Science 280E
