Completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% in 3.0 principal courses, with no mark in these principal courses below 60%, including: Physics 020, 024, 028a/b and 029a/b, or the former Physics 022, 025; Calculus 050a/b and 051a/b or 081a/b; Chemistry 020 or 023.

A mark of at least 75% is required if Physics 028a/b and 029a/b are taken and at least 85% if the former Physics 022 was taken.

If not taken in year 1, Biology 022 or 023 must be completed by end of year 2 with a mark of at least 60%.
