HONORS SPECIALIZATION IN ART HISTORY AND CRITICISM 


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements with no failures. Students must have an average of at least 70% in 3.0 principal courses, including Visual Arts History 040 plus 2.0 additional courses, with no mark in these principal courses below 60%.

1.0 course from: VAH 251E, 253E
1.0 course from: VAH 256E, 258E, 261E
1.0 course from: VAH 266E, 270E, 276E
1.0 course from: VAH 277E, 278E, 283E
1.0 additional course from the five selections listed above or from other VAH courses at the 200 level
1.0 course required in third year: VAH 340E
1.0 course from: VAH 349F/G, 356F/G, 361F/G, 380E, 385E, 390F/G, 391F/G, 392F/G, 393F/G, 394F/G, 395F/G, 396F/G
1.0 course from: VAH 445F/G, 451F/G, 456F/G, 461F/G, 466F/G, 470F/G, 475F/G, 477F/G, 478F/G, 480F/G, 492F/G, 493F/G, 495F/G, 496F/G

1.0 course is normally required to fulfill the language requirement for graduation:
1.0 course in French 020E or 021 or another non-English language at the 200 level equivalent to the former 020-level.
This requirement may be waived for students who pass a reading test in the language at the appropriate level.

Note: Students who wish to include VAS (Studio) Art courses as part of this module should consult the Department.
