This course is a continuation of MEC 027 (Intermediate Chinese).Advanced Chinese conversation, written composition, listening and translation techniques will be emphasized. Students will also learn more advanced grammar, syntax, and idioms. Selections from newspapers, literary works, and short essays, will be incorporated. Available only to students with no prior background in any Chinese dialect. |
| Antirequisite: International and Comparative Studies 124, the former Modern Eastern Civilizations124, 127. |
| Prerequisite: International and Comparative Studies 027, or the former Modern Eastern Civilizations 027, or permission of the Department. |
