International and Comparative Studies 027 Intermediate Chinese |
This course is designed to build upon skills in reading and speaking Mandarin, developed in earlier courses. Students will gain increased vocabulary, and a greater understanding of more complex grammatical structures. They will be able to approach prose, fiction and non-fiction written in the language. Available only to students with no prior background in any Chinese dialect. |
Antirequisite: International and Comparative Studies 024, the former Modern Eastern Civilizations 024, 027. |
Prerequisite: International and Comparative Studies 007, or the former Modern Eastern Civilizations 007, or OAC Chinese, or permission of the Department. |
