Approved Combinations: Anthropology, Classical Studies, Comparative Literature and Culture, Film Studies, French, German, Greek, History, Latin, Linguistics, Media, Information and Technoculture, Philosophy, Political Science, Religious Studies, Russian, Sociology, Spanish, Visual Arts, or Women's Studies. These combinations are also available at the affiliated colleges.
First Year
Second, Third and Fourth Years
In the Combined Honors English program, the student takes six or seven courses from each of the departments concerned. Students who do not achieve 70% in their principal courses at the end of the third year may be admitted to fourth year only by permission of the Department. In the English part of a combined program, students are required in second, third, and fourth years to take at least SIX courses in Honors English, and to distribute them as follows: Two of English 201F/G, 203F/G, 204F/G, 281F/G, 282F/G, 283F/G, OR the former English 200. One of: English 211, 212, 214E /314E, 224E /324E, 234E /334E One of: English 244E /344E, 253E / 353E, 254E /354E, 264E /364E, 274E /374E Three additional senior English full-course equivalents not already chosen (one of these may be a 100-level essay course). Up to one full-course equivalent 400-level course may be chosen in fourth year.
