AREA OF CONCENTRATION (THREE-YEAR DEGREE)
Admission Requirements
A mark of 60% or higher in a 020-level Psychology course. For additional information see the THREE-YEAR PROGRAMS section.
Program
First Year
One 020-level Psychology course Three additional full-course equivalents numbered 001-099 in different subjects.
Second and Third Year
Satisfactory completion of at least 10 full-course equivalents * that consist of both Psychology and non-Psychology courses. The Psychology course selection must include: - Psychology 282E **
- One half-course from the Psychology 200-239 series
- One half-course from the Psychology 240-279 series
- Three additional full course equivlanets at the 100- or 200-level, with no more than one half course from the 200-279 series.
- Although students may take further Psychology courses they may take no more than eight Psychology full-course equivalents in total (this number includes the 020-level course) and no more than three 200-300-level Psychology full-course equivalents.
- * At least two of the full-course equivalents in the three year degree must be designated essay courses (essay courses have E or F/G following the course number) and at least one of these essay courses must be in Psychology at the 100 level or above. A full or equivalent course from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities also must be included in the three year degree.
- ** Students who may wish to delay entry into the Honors Programs until after second or third year are strongly advised to take both Psychology 280E and Psychology 281 in their second year in place of Psychology 282E.
