*A student may, with the permission of the Department Chair and the approval of the counselor, substitute one full or two 0.5 technical electives from the list below for CBE 415.

†Accelerated Master’s students can take a graduate course with special permission from the Department Chair.

**Selection of the non-technical elective must be approved by the Department Counsellor to satisfy the CEAB requirements of subject matter that deals with central issues, methodologies, and thought processes of the humanities and social sciences.

A student may take two technical electives and may also replace CBE 415 with two additional technical electives.

Some technical electives may not be offered in a given academic year.
Special permission from the Department is needed to take courses from Science or Engineering not listed above.
