The course considers the links between gender, economy, environment, class, sexuality, environmental racism, and environmental justice. Students examine key environmental issues, such as climate catastrophe, the “green” economy, pollution, and biodiversity from feminist perspectives. Students also consider how various forms of oppression, including racism, sexism, and imperialism, shape environmental discourses.
