In this for-credit course, students take paid or unpaid professional internships and complete related assignments. Students are assigned a Pass/Fail grade at the end of an internship. Internships require a minimum of 120 work hours and approval by the Faculty.
Prerequisite(s): Permission of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and enrolment in a Major, a Specialization or Honours Specialization in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities with a cumulative average of at least 70% and no failures or academic offenses. Students can apply in their second year but cannot undertake a for-credit internship until at least their third year.
Extra Information: Students must satisfy the eligibility criteria and complete preparatory learning modules and a resume and cover letter review to be admitted to the internship program. Once in the program, students apply and may be selected for internships. Students must maintain suitable performance levels in internships as verified by the employers through evaluations.
