The Academic Internship is a 0.5 credit internship with a minimum of 60 hours. The internship will require students to make connections with academic study while undertaking supervised duties in organizations, businesses, or community groups with interests related to Italian.
Prerequisite(s):Italian 2200 (or Italian 2202X) and permission of the Department. Registration in the Major in Italian, with a minimum cumulative modular average of 75%. Approval of, and acceptance into, an internship placement.
Extra Information: Pass or Fail. Students accepted for an internship will arrange individual programs with supervising faculty. The student is required to a) maintain a suitable level of performance in the position as verified through evaluations and b) submit a midterm and a final report, demonstrating how the experience gained through the internship relates to coursework and program of study.
