FOUR-YEAR BSc HONORS PLANT SCIENCES
Admission Requirements
Completion of the requirements for a 3-year BSc in Biology with the general prerequisites for admission into honors programs in the Biological Sciences.
Prerequisites
At least 1.0 course chosen from: Biology 204a, 217b, Biology 260a/b (formerly Biology 205a), 304F/G, 318F/G, 320Z (with approval of the Department), Biology 321F, Biology 360a/b (formerly Biology 305a), or the former Biology 216b, 327b, 352b.
Fourth Year
Principal Courses
Four full courses, 2.0 of which must be at the 400 level, selected from the following list and not previously taken:
Biology 499E (1.5 courses)
Biology 450F/G (formerly Plant Sciences 450a)
Biology 418a (formerly Plant Sciences 418a, or the former Biology 319a);
Biology 461F, 462b, 482 (formerly Genetics 411a, 412b, 492);
Biology 204a, 217b, 304F/G, 318F/G, 393b, or the former Biology 216b, 352b, 387F, 391b;
Biology 260a/b (or the former Biology 205a), 360a/b (or the former Biology 305a);
Biology 321F or the former 327b;
Biology 320Z, with approval of the Department
Biology 407b, 408G (formerly Plant Sciences 407b, 408b)
The former Biology 452a (formerly Plant Sciences 490a)
The former Biology 402a, 403a or Plant Sciences 403a
The former Biology 404b, 406a (formerly Plant Sciences 404b, 406a)
The former Biology 451F/G (formerly Plant Sciences 451b)
Subsidiary Course
One full additional course to be chosen from honors-level courses offered by the Faculty of Science.
1) The following courses must be completed prior to graduation: Biology 260a/b (formerly Biology 205a), Biology 304F/G, and Biology 360a/b (formerly Biology 305a), or the former Biology 216b.
2) Students planning to enter fourth year Honors Plant Sciences should arrange their programs in consultation with the Plant Sciences fourth year Program Coordinator.
