Admission Requirements
First year program, with VAS 020 or the former Visual Arts 020, and VAH 040 or the former Visual Arts 040, and 3.0 courses from outside the Department, 1.0 of which must be from the Faculties of Science or Social Science with no more than 1.0 course from each subject.
Program
After the first year, the program consists of 15.0 courses including a minimum of 10.0 Honors Visual Arts Studio or Visual Arts History courses and a minimum of 3.0 options taken outside the Department. The 10.0 Honors Visual Arts courses must include: 2.0 courses from: VAS 200, 210, 220, 230, 250, 204a/b, 212a/b, 214a/b, 216a/b, 222a/b, 224a/b, 226a/b, 232a/b, 234a/b, 236a/b, 240, 244a/b, 246a/b, 252a/b, 254a/b, 256a/b, 258a/b, 274a/b, 275a/b 1.0 course from: VAH 247E, 249E, 251E, 253E, 256E, 258E, 261E, 266E, 270E At least 1.0 course from: VAH 276E, 277E, 278E, 283E 1.0 course from: VAH 340E or 380E or VAS 380E 1.0 course from: VAH 349F/G, 356F/G, 361F/G, 385E, 390F/G, 391F/G, 392F/G, 393F/G, 394F/G, 395F/G, 396F/G At least 1.0 course from: the VAH/VAS 400-series *Additional Visual Arts courses at the 200-, 300-, or 400-level to make a total of 10.0 full-course equivalents in Visual Arts.
Note: Students registered in the program prior to September 1998 may be able to complete the program under the earlier regulations. Please consult the Department.
