Students entering the Electrical Engineering Program must have completed the common first year curriculum of Engineering with at least 60% YWA and passing grades in Applied Mathematics 025a/b, Applied Mathematics 026, Physics 026 and Computer Science 026a/b or Computer Science 036a/b.

Selection of the non-technical elective must be approved by the Department Counsellor to satisfy the CEAB requirements of subject matter that deals with central issues, methodologies, and thought processes of the humanities and social sciences. For students registered in a concurrent degree program in Computer Science up to two computer science half courses at the 300 level or higher may be used as technical electives.
