THREE-YEAR BSc PHYSICS

Students who were registered in second or third year of this program prior to September 1998 may graduate under the requirements of the old program, with appropriate substitutions for courses no longer offered.


Admission Requirements

A first-year program with:

Physics 020, 024, or the former 025, with a minimum mark 60%.
Calculus 050a/b plus 051a/b, or Applied Mathematics 026, each with a minimum mark of 60%.
One Arts and Humanities or Social Science course .
Two full-course options or equivalent.


Second Year
Third Year

    A half-course numbered 200 or higher from the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
    One full course or two half courses numbered 100 or higher from the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
    3.5 options.

The Area of Concentration will consist of the 5.5 senior-level Physics, Applied Mathematics, (and up to 1.0 Astronomy) courses which are specified for second and third year (6.0 if the former Applied Mathematics 212a was taken).
