FOUR-YEAR BSc HONORS CHEMISTRY
Admission Requirements
Entry into the 4-year honors degree program occurs at the beginning of the third year and requires that the student has completed the second year of the Chemistry program with an average of at least 70% in the following: Chemistry 271a, 273a, 274a, 281G, 283G, 284b, (or the former Chemistry 251, 253 and 254) with no mark less than 60% in these. Students who do not meet these criteria may be allowed to proceed into the third year of the Honors Chemistry program only with the special permission of the Department. Chemistry 370a/b, 371F, 372F/G, 373F, 374a/b, 384F/G, (or the former Chemistry 351a, 352a, 353a, 354b, 362b, 374a) One of: Chemistry 364a/b, 391a/b, 393a/b, (or the former Chemistry 361b, 363b, 364b)
Subsidiary Courses
An additional half course in Chemistry, numbered 200 or above A number of options elected to attain a total of five courses. Other Chemistry courses may be included

Principal Courses
Chemistry 490E Eight Chemistry half-courses at the 300- or 400-level (with a maximum of two at the 300-level) With special permission from the Department of Chemistry, one or two Chemistry half-courses may be replaced by other 300- or 400-level courses offered by the Faculty of Science
