BACHELOR OF MEDICAL SCIENCES (BMSc) PROGRAMS
Room C5, Molecular Biology Laboratory Building (MBL), Tel: (519) 661-3074 Four-Year Honors BMSc degrees and the Four-Year General BMSc degree are interdisciplinary programs, administered and sponsored by the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry and the Faculty of Science. The Basic Medical Science Departments participating in the program are those which offer Four-Year Honors degrees (Biochemistry, Medical Biophysics, Microbiology and Immunology, and Physiology and Pharmacology) plus Anatomy and Cell Biology, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and Pathology. Each of the BMSc Honors Programs has specific prerequisites which must be completed prior to entry to the Fourth year of that program. Students who intend to apply to one of these programs must check the listing for that Department, to ensure that all the required prerequisites will have been completed by the end of Third Year. For more information on the BMSc Honors programs, see the requirements listed in the Departments of Biochemistry, Medical Biophysics, Microbiology and Immunology, and Physiology and Pharmacology. The Four-Year General BMSc has no three-year counterpart, which means that students cannot graduate with a three-year BMSc. Any student who wishes to leave the opportunity of graduation with a three-year degree must ensure that he/she takes all the required courses for an existing three-year degree program, as options in the second and third years.
