Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements, including:

Calculus 050a/b and 051a/b or 081a/b, or Applied Mathematics 026
Physics 020 or 024, or the former Physics 022 or 025
At least 1.0 course from: Earth Sciences 022a/b, 023a/b, 081a/b, or the former Earth Sciences 020, Chemistry 020, 023, 024a/b, Linear Algebra 040a/b

Notes:

At least a 0.5 course in Earth Sciences is recommended in first year.
If not taken in first year, Linear Algebra 040a/b must be completed before the beginning of third year.

1.0 course: Earth Sciences 200a/b, 220a/b
0.5 course from: Earth Sciences 201a, 206a/b
0.5 course: Differential Equations 215a
1.0 course: Physics 259E
1.0 course: Calculus 250a/b and 251a/b, or 280a/b and 281a/b
0.5 course from: Applied Mathematics 315a/b, Statistical Sciences 241a/b, 243a/b
3.0 courses: Earth Sciences 320a/b, 321a, 322a, 323a/b, 420a/b, 421a/b
0.5 course from: Earth Sciences 423a/b, 425a/b
1.0 additional course in Earth Sciences at the 300 level or above
