MAJOR IN SCIENTIFIC COMPUTING AND NUMERICAL METHODS


Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements, including Calculus 050a/b; Calculus 051a/b with a mark of at least 60% (or Calculus 081a/b with a mark of at least 60%). Applied Mathematics 026 (with a mark of at least 60%) may be used to replace this 1.0 Calculus course requirement.

Computer Science 025a/b or 026a/b and Computer Science 027a/b with at least 60% in each.

Linear Algebra 040a/b or Applied Mathematics 025a/b with a mark of at least 60%, normally taken in year I. If not taken in year 1, it must be taken in first term of year II.

1.0 course from: Applied Mathematics 466a/b, Applied Mathematics 475a/b, Applied Mathematics 476a/b
