Admission Requirements

Completion of first-year requirements, including the following courses each with a mark of at least 60%:

Physics 020 or 024 or 026
Calculus 050a/b plus 051a/b (or 081a/b) or Applied Mathematics 026
1.0 course from: Earth Sciences 022a/b, 023a/b, 081a/b, 083F/G, or the former Earth Sciences 020. Earth Sciences 281b may be substituted, if Earth Sciences 022a/b, 023a/b, 081a/b, or the former Earth Sciences 020 is not taken in Year 1.
Computer Science 025a/b or 026a/b is recommended.

0.5 course: Astronomy 201a/b
0.5 course: Physics 203a/b
1.0 course: Earth Sciences 230b; 123a/b (if Earth Sciences 023a/b has not been taken), or a 200-level Earth Sciences half course with the permission of the department (if Earth Sciences 023a/b has been taken).
0.5 course: Planetary Science 380a/b
3.5 courses from: Astronomy 202a/b, 301a/b, Physics 201a/b, 202a/b, 208, 326F/G, 343a/b, 350a/b, 351a/b, 365a/b, Earth Sciences 201a, 206a/b, 240a/b, 260a/b, 322a, 369a/b, 421a/b, 424a/b, or the former Earth Sciences 205b, 221a, 312a, 324a/b.
