Engineering Applicants
CAAT applicants for admission to first year of Engineering should have completed a two-year technician or a three-year technology program. Applicants who have completed a three-year technology program with a cumulative average of "A" (3.5 g.p.a.) or better may, on the recommendation of the Faculty of Engineering, be granted transfer credit for a maximum of 9 courses. Applicants who have completed a two-year technician or a three-year technology program with a cumulative average of 2.7 GPA may, on the recommendation of the Faculty of Engineering, be granted transfer credit for a maximum of 6.0 courses. Engineering science and design courses taught at a CAAT will not be considered for transfer credit toward the BESc degree based on Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) guidelines. Only science or complementary studies courses are considered. Notwithstanding, students who applied to Engineering from other college programs are required to have the equivalent of OAC/Grade 12 U prerequisites for the Engineering program, otherwise upgrading will be required prior to admission.
